Great neutral flavor. Does not interfere with what you are cooking. Been buying since 2016. Spray bottle bottles are great too.
My husband is the chef at our home and was the one who found Ellora Farms Extra Virgin Olive Oil and ordered it. After tasting and using we thought the Ellora Farms EVO from Crete was even more delicious than the EVO we brought back from Italy. We use for cooking, making popcorn and on bread and have sent to our daughters as gifts. Fantastic.
This olive oil is on the list of AUTHENTIC and PURE olive oil companies. There are so many fake olive oil products in the market now, mostly blends of different oils yet they are labeled as EVOO. You can immediately tell the difference when you taste this one.
This olive oil is truly amazing and soooo delicious !!I am not an olive oil connoisseur but I had the good fortune of living for many years in France and got the opportunity to try some excellent olive oils from countries such as Italy, Spain, and France. The flavor of this olive oil knocked my socks off!! It is definitely very pure and the real thing. I will definitely buy again!!
If you have lived your life believing that olive oils should have a bitter finish, then like me you have been using the wrong oil. This has been my only olive oil for a long time. It is great just try it.
It has a fairly intensely green initial flavor, followed by a peppery aftertaste, and it's very good. If what's desired is a mild neutral flavor, then this oil may have too much character for that, although it's not intrusive. I've used it for both cooking and finishing, and it works well for both. Highly recommended.
My daughter asked why the olive tastes so good. She likes plain noodles with olive oil and cheese and this time I used the Ellora Farms oil instead of the usual oil I buy at the store. She is 9 and noticed the difference so I think that's a good testament to this oil. I really enjoyed it too. I ordered it after reading how other brands aren't pure olive oil, this one came recommended. I love the smaller tins too. I will definitely be ordering more.
I think this is the fourth tme I have ordered this wonderful olive oil. I use it all of the time and it adds a delicious flavor, particularly in my salads. I plan to continue to use Ellora olive oil as my go to olive oil.
Ellora Farms is a lovely Extra Virgin Olive that is packaged in a nice tin with a plastic pouring spout that is capped and you will need to use the green plastic 'lifter' to pull out the pouring spout from the can. The oil is cold pressed (expeller) so no chemicals (think Hexane for corn kernels to get corn oil) are used to extra the oil from the olives. The taste is great and I am a fan of Greek olive oils as opposed to Italian and Spanish. The tin keeps the oil from light that can cause the oil to become rancid. I use this oil for everything. I rarely actually deep fry anything, just saute or fry eggs (short time, high heat not necessary). I understand that olive oil should be used within a few months after opening, so if you don't cook for an army, smaller containers are the way to go.
